Ariel's Story
Ariel spent her childhood in between places that each left their mark. The idyllic town of Brockville, Ontario, with her mother, spent cherished time in Montreal, Quebec, with her grandparents, and later in Vancouver, BC, and Canmore, Alberta, with her father.
Ariel moved to Montreal to pursue her studies in English Literature at Concordia University, specializing in Medieval English. She later earned her Master of Library and Information Studies from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Ariel has written numerous blogs and published articles inspired by her work as a librarian. She's a passionate advocate for literacy, diversity and representation in literature, and every child’s right to read whatever captures their imagination.
When she’s not at work, Ariel enjoys all things nerdy. She also indulges in everything from mystery audiobooks and true crime podcasts to photographing the adorable creatures in her life. She lives just outside Edmonton, Alberta, with her spouse, their small human, their large dog, and their three (obligatory for a librarian) cats.
