Hello
Born in the rad ‘80s, Ariel grew up bouncing around. Mostly in the idyllic town of Brockville, Ontario with her mother. She also spent a lot of time in Montreal, Quebec with her grandparents. But also spent time in Vancouver, BC, and later Canmore, Alberta with her father.
In 2005 Ariel moved to Montreal to pursue her studies. She studied English Literature, with a specialization in Medieval English from Concordia University. In 2010 Ariel moved to Halifax, Nova Scotia to pursue her MLIS from Dalhousie University.
Ariel has written a number of blog posts and published articles relating to her work as a librarian. She is a passionate advocate for literacy, diversity & representation in literature, and the right for children to read their hearts desire.
When not at work, Ariel enjoys all things nerdy; listening to mystery audiobooks and true crime podcasts; and taking pictures of the adorable creatures in her life. She lives outside Edmonton, Alberta with her spouse, her small human, their three (obligatory as a librarian) cats, and her dog.
